Dr. Katie Nadolny

Dr. Katie Nadolny grew up in rural Southern Oregon with a menagerie of animals. Though she always loved spending time with her horses and pets, veterinary medicine was not her first career path. She attended undergraduate training at Arizona State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history and religious studies and developed a deep, passionate and unwavering devotion to the Arizona State Sun Devils. With a plan to go into foreign correspondence or international relations, she spent a year after graduation in Morocco, studying the Arabic language. It was during this year that she realized that a career focused on animal care may be more in line with her passion.

Dr. Nadolny ultimately attended veterinary school at the University of Missouri and then completed a rotating internship at North Carolina State University, where her interests in cardiac physiology and caring for cardiac patients were solidified. Following her internship, she headed to the University of Wisconsin for a 3-year cardiology residency. She completed her residency and board certification in July of 2019. As an American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine board-certified veterinary cardiologist, Dr. Nadolny enjoys all aspects of diagnosing and treating cardiac disease, but particularly enjoys the relationships she forms with her clients and patients. Her academic interests are in electrophysiology and advanced treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Dr. Nadolny understands the stress that having a beloved pet with heart disease can place on a family and endeavors to work with clients to determine what options can give their pets the best quality of life for as long as possible.

In her free time, Dr. Nadolny enjoys being outside as much as possible – skiing, hiking, climbing, camping, cycling and running with her husband – and then coming home to her two sweet greyhounds, Alex and Sam, and her energetic german shepherd mix, Dwight.
